Nightingale has rolled out a fresh update, focusing on crafting enhancements, new additions, and a myriad of bug fixes spanning all aspects of the game. This marks the second significant update to the open-world survival title, tailored to cater to both new players and seasoned Faewild veterans of Nightingale.

Since its early access release, the game has aimed to cultivate a supportive community and gather valuable insights into the desires of survival players. With feedback from fans, Nightingale developers have continuously sought to refine multiple gameplay features during the early access phase. In a genre teeming with competition, the open-world survival crafting niche is rapidly filling up with a slew of titles hitting the market one after the other.

In response, Inflexion Games has unveiled update 0.2 for Nightingale. This update introduces three new firearms, accessible early in the game, along with two NPCs and their accompanying storylines, and two fresh varieties of Bound enemies. Additionally, the character Nellie Bly now boasts full voice acting, and players who initially took the aggressive path when entering The Watch can now engage in new dialogue options upon returning to her compatriots.

Accompanying the new content are several highly requested quality-of-life improvements. Foremost among these is a refinement to Nightingale's crafting system, enabling resources to be directly retrieved from storage. A queue mechanic has also been implemented, allowing for the simultaneous crafting of multiple item types without the need for constant returns to the crafting station. Furthermore, crafting weapons or tools with attribute-laden resources now transfers those stats to the finished equipment piece.

Update 0.2 also addresses numerous bug fixes. These range from enemies spawning outside accessible Vault areas to rain failing to water plants, text overflowing UI boxes, and the removal of the dry fire sound many players encountered when using guns. Additionally, adjustments have been made to Nightingale Campfires, eliminating negative traits when constructed in the open or placed on the ground like conventional campfires. Notably, redundant data has been removed, resulting in a reduction of player file size, thereby mitigating the occurrence of the "dratted" error due to excessive save data.
