Bungie has rolled out Update 8.0.0.7 for Destiny 2, tackling a variety of bugs and gameplay problems related to activities, Guardian abilities, and more. This update coincides with the release of Act 2 of Episode Echoes, following a 3-week break. While the shift from Seasons to Episodes has caused some fan disappointment due to the downtime between Acts, there’s promising news ahead.

Bungie has confirmed that Episode 2: Revenant will launch with all its story content available immediately, eliminating the time-gating present in Episode 1: Echoes. This change has been well-received by fans, who appreciate the adjustment. Bungie plans to continue monitoring feedback and may make further changes before Episode 3 debuts in 2025. Meanwhile, the studio is also releasing smaller updates to address immediate issues more swiftly.

The latest update, arriving with the weekly reset, includes fixes for various in-game activities and gear. Adjustments have been made to the Liminality strike, Ghosts of the Deep dungeon, and Salvation's Edge raid, resolving bugs that could cause crashes, despawning, and other issues. The Pathfinder has seen changes as well, with a specific node requiring 150 Cabal kills now broadened to include any combatant.

Gameplay-related fixes in Update 8.0.0.7 include adjustments to the Titan’s Precious Scars exotic armor, ensuring that Sol Invictus and Offensive Bulwark Aspects no longer block Kintsugi. The Warlock’s Osmiomancy Gloves have been modified to only work with Coldsnap grenades, addressing a previous issue where the regeneration bonus applied to any grenade type. Additionally, the Shieldcrush perk from Destiny 2’s Artifact has been fixed, correcting an issue where Grapple Punch was receiving full bonuses from either half of the perk, making it overly powerful.
